Abstract

The purpose of this study is three. (1) Test and analyze the relationship of interest in learning to students' mathematics learning outcomes; (2) Testing and analyzing the relationship of learning motivation to students' mathematics learning outcomes; (3) Test and analyze the relationship with the relationship of interest and motivation to learn towards students' mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were VII grade students in MTs Negeri 2 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year as many as 114 students. The sample of this study was 86 students determined by the pusposive sampling method. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaire and documentation methods. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression. The results of the study: (1) There is a relationship between interest and motivation to learn towards learning outcomes of mathematics in grade VII at Surakarta MTs. The interest and motivation of students together are related to 8.7%; (2) there is a relationship between interest and learning motivation towards students' mathematics learning outcomes with an effective contribution of 4.5%; (3) there is a joint relationship between interest and motivation to learn towards students' mathematics learning outcomes.
