Abstract

This research was conducted based on the decrease of motivation to learn mathematics of fourth grade student of SDN 1 Sambirejo.This study aims to obtain student’s motivation in the subjects of mathematics in fourth gradeclass of SD Negeri 1 Sambirejo, Plupuh, Sragen through learning method of snowball throwing model combined with numbered head together. This research includes PTK research with observation model, interview, test and documentation. The subjects for this research is fourth graders of SD Negeri 1 Sambirejo Plupuh Sragen on 2017/2018 academic year; consisting of 27 students. The results showed that the motivation of learning mathematics students after the implementation of the synthesis of cooperative type snowball throwing model combined with numbered head together has increased. This is indicated by the increase of the average result of the percentage of observation sheets of student learning outcomes in each cycle that is increased from 54.6% in the initial conditions to 71% in first cycle, and increased to 92% in second cycle.
