Abstract

Pulung Sub-District is one of the second largest sub-districts in Ponorogo Regency after Ngrayun Sub-District located in the East with an area of 142.83 km2 where there are several public facilities that require good accessibility such as educational facilities, economic facilities, and health facilities for the community do activities. This condition needs to be supported by good road access so that it can make accessibility easier. This research aims to map the potential level of damage to local / district roads and environment / village shaft roads in Pulung Sub-district using geographic information system applications to determine the factors that influence the potential level of damage to roads in the field and roads that are potentially damaged based on parameters. used. Research conducted using a survey method for sampling field data and rating on each parameter that is considered influential. The parameters used include slope, rainfall, soil texture, availability of drainage channels, and volume of traffic divided by the width of the road. The survey method for sampling field data uses a stratified purposive sampling through a land unit map. This survey was used to collect slope data and drainage channels in the field that had previously been made through interpretation data and data from the Ponorogo Regency Public Works Office which would then be updated according to field results. Rainfall data, soil texture, traffic volume, and road width are obtained from the relevant agencies. The results of this study are maps of the distribution of potential levels of road damage in Pulung Sub-District, Ponorogo Regency with 3 categories of potential levels of road damage, namely low, medium, and high damage. The potential level class of the road is 3 categories: low, medium, and high. The distribution of the potential level of road damage in Pulung Subdistrict is spread for each level of damage category. Road damage in Pulung Sub-District is influenced by two of the most dominant factors, namely high rainfall in all Pulung Districts and subtle soil texture in almost all Pulung Districts. Roads with low damage potential consist of 24 road segments with details of 23 environment / village shaft roads and 1 local / district road. Roads with potential for moderate road damage consist of 12 road segments with details of 4 environmet / village shaft roads and 8 local / district roads. The road with high damage potential consists of 6 road segments with details of 2 environment / village shaft roads and 4 local / district roads.
