Abstract

The role is a series of interrelated behaviors, carried out in certain situations and related to conscious and planned efforts in preparing students for the progress of behavioral change and the development of students who know, understand, live up to believe, devote, and have a noble character in practicing the teachings of Islam from its main sources are the holy books of the Qur'an and Hadith through the activities of guidance, teaching, training, and the use of experience. Islamic Education Teachers are teachers who have the professionalism in Islamic education staff responsible for providing knowledge, guidance, and assistance to students in developing their maturity both in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor fields in accordance with the teachings of Islam, namely obeying Allah and His Messenger and avoiding anything that is prohibited by religion. Educate students' morals by nurturing and giving practice, attitudes that give birth to behavior (behavior, behavior), maybe good, maybe bad. The formulation of this problem is what is the role of PAI teachers in Educating Morals in Mts II Surakarta 2015/2016 academic year? and are there any obstacles faced by PAI Teachers in Educating Morals in Surakarta State Mts II in 2015/2016 academic year? This study aims to describe the role of Islamic Education teachers in educating students' morals and to describe the obstacles faced by PAI teachers in educate students morals. The type of research used is field research. The research subjects were teachers of Surakarta II MTs State MTs (2 people, PAI teachers class VII and VIII), especially in the field of morality. Other subjects are the principal and BK teacher. To obtain the data of this study used the method of observation, interviews, documentation. The research was analyzed by reducing data in the field and then getting the data results, the data is a new finding. The findings of the data can be in the form of a description or temporary description, which was previously still dim, so that after being examined it became clear. The conclusion of this study is the role of PAI teachers in educating morals of students in Surakarta State Mts II in 2015/2016 academic year including 1. guidance, guidance and direction in the form of punishment that students realize that the behavior is wrong and the teacher can make students aware of mistakes do it. 2. Advice, the teacher gives advice with good ethics, encourages him to behave with good morals, encourages him to do good and always be in the corridors of the shari'ah. So advice will be accepted willingly without any compulsion. 3. Model, teacher as a role model for students must have a complete attitude and personality that can be used as role models in all aspects of life. Everything must be done continuously so that it becomes a culture or culture in daily life, both at school and outside of school. Then the obstacles experienced by PAI teachers in educating morals students in Surakarta State Mts II in the 2015/2016 school year include internal and external factors. 1. Internal factors are in the form of obstacles in the students themselves in the form of not really being involved in the activities of moral education programs in school. 2. External factors in the form of family background, family background will affect the attitudes and behavior of students. Students who live in a good family with a good pattern of parent education, students will tend to behave well too. Because parents are the first and foremost person in charge of a child's moral and personality education. Parents can educate and shape children's character and personality through attitudes and ways of life given by parents which indirectly constitute education for the child.
