Abstract
This study aims to describe the accuracy, effectiveness, constraints, and solutions to the application of the socialization model of Indonesian Unity values using the Reading Guide combination of Index Card Match strategies in Karang Taruna Truko Village, Bringin District Semarang District 2019. This study uses a pre-experimental method with One Group Pretest Posttest design, with a sample of 20 people. Quota Purposive Random Sampling sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this study used test, observation, interview, and documentation methods. Indicators of the value of Indonesian Unity used in this study are: 1) able to place unity, unity, and the interests and safety of the nation and state as a common interest above personal and group interests, 2) able and willing to sacrifice for the interests of the state and nation if needed, 3) develop a sense of love for the motherland and the nation, 4) develop a sense of national pride and Indonesian homeland, 5) maintain world order based on independence, eternal peace and social justice, 6) develop Indonesian unity on the basis of Unity in Diversity, and 7) promote association for the unity and integrity of the nation. The validity in this study uses the Correlation Product Moment formula from Pearson. Reliability uses the formula KR 20. Analysis of the data used in this study is paired sample t-test. The results showed that the tcount of 10.457 was greater than the 2.086 table with a significance level of 0.05. The difference in the pretest and posttest scores shows the difference in understanding between before (pretest) and after (posttest) the values of Indonesian Unity. The average value of Pretest 6 increased to 12.25 at Posttest. Based on the two data are then compared so that the difference value of 6.25 is obtained. Based on the above calculation results, it can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed by Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a difference in understanding the values of the Indonesian Unity after the socialization by using the Reading Guide Strategy combined with Index Card match in the Youth Organization of Truko Village, the difference shows an increase in average scores the value of Indonesian Unity from the results of the Pretest and Posttest.
