Abstract

Qur’anic Kindergarten (TPA) is a medium for society in helping Qur’anic teaching for children. TPA Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Gonilan, which play a role as a service provider for the society in the field of Qur’anic teaching and education, tries to develop Qur’anic generation who is faithful, pious, and high social sense, and making Al-Qur’an and Sunnah as a guidance for life. This research aimed to describe and analyze data and informations based on the facts related to the role of Qur’anic Kindergarten, the strategies and the obstacles faced by TPA Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Gonilan in developing Qur’anic generation. This research was a field research which used qualitative approach. The method of collecting data were observation, interview, and documentation. While the method for analyzing data was descriptive qualitative analysis, in the process of analyzing data, the researcher reduced the data, presented the data, and drew the conclusion. The result of this research showed that: 1) TPA Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Gonilan played a role in increasing the skills of reading and writing 2 Qur’an, developing Islamic insight, and habituating al-karimah morality; 2) The strategies implemented by the manager and the teacher of TPA Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq were curriculum development and implementation, the use of teaching method, students habituation, and parents monthly activity; 3) In order to develop Qur’anic generation, there were some obstacles faced in TPA Abu Bakar Ash-shiddiq, such as the lack of policies’ organization, the lack of innovation toward the existing facilities, and the lack of students’ and teachers’ attendance.
