Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine: (1) the effect of learning on the Herbart Method and the Peer Teaching Method on mathematics learning outcomes (2) the influence of mathematics learning interest on mathematics learning outcomes (3) the influence of interaction using mathematical learning methods and interest in learning about mathematics learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The population in this study were students of class XI of SMK Negeri 1 Selo. Two classes were randomly selected as samples from this study. The first class was treated with Peer Teaching Method and the second class was treated with Herbart Method. Data collection is done using tests, questionnaires and documentation. The analysis technique uses two-way variance analysis with unequal cells. With a significance level of 5% obtained: (1) there is the influence of learning Herbart Method and Peer Teaching Method on mathematics learning outcomes (2) there is an influence of mathematics learning interest on mathematics learning outcomes (3) the influence of interaction using mathematical learning methods and learning interest in learning outcomes mathematics (3) there is no influence of the interaction of the use of mathematical learning methods and interest in learning towards mathematics learning outcomes.
