Abstract

This study has a background that Islamic Education is part of an effort to instill the values of Islamic teachings in its followers. In line with that, the reference used as the rationale for Islamic education is identical to the main source of Islamic teaching itself, namely the Qur'an and Hadith. So, all activities that occur in it and the people involved make the Qur'an and Hadith the main foundation in his life. For that Islamic Education seeks to instill Islamic values in students through teaching and learning activities in the classroom or at school extracurricular activities. It is intended that they become Muslims who understand Islam as a whole, practice Islamic teachings in everyday life and become loyal servants of Allah. The formulation of the problem raised in this study is 1) What is the role of musyrifah in instilling Islamic values in Al Abidin High School Bilingual Boarding School Surakarta students through mentoring in the dormitory ?. 2) What are the advantages and disadvantages of the mentoring program in the dormitory? While the purpose of this research is to find out and describe the role of musyrifah in instilling Islamic values in mentoring activities and to know the advantages and disadvantages of the mentoring program. This research is a field research which is a research activity carried out in a particular community environment by visiting the intended object directly. The method used in this study is observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. While the method of data analysis is done by descriptive method, namely disclosure of the situation as it is. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the role of musyrifah in reconciling Islamic values for Al Abidin High School Bilingual Boarding School Surakarta students through mentoring in the dormitory is as educator, mentor, coach, role model, and trainer. As for the advantages of the mentoring program, namely the planting of religious and moral values can be done intensively, students can be more open with the mentors, strengthen the closeness between the mentors and students, train students' leadership and sensitivity and require full commitment between the mentors and students to maintain the group. Then the shortcomings of the mentoring program include mentoring requiring the right time, active students tend to dominate the discussion.
