Abstract

Background: Recorded by the World Health Organization as many as 830 women die every day due to complications related to labor and pregnancy. These complications are age, preeclampsia and comorbidities in pregnant women which can cause babies born to have a risk of low birth weight babies. LBW contributes up to 60% to 80% of all neonatal deaths. Objective: this study is to identify comorbidities in pregnant women with low birth weight status. Method: This type of research is descriptive, which is to know the value of the independent variable, either one variable or more without making comparisons, while the data collection technique is by means of total sampling. Results: the study was mothers aged 25-30 years 73.9%, mothers with preeclampsia 81.5%, birth weight babies 2500-3900 grams 88.5%, mothers with SC 51.6% and mothers with multigravida at 70.1%. Suggestion: Further research should be conducted on the level of knowledge of pregnant women about preeclampsia and is expected to conduct more in-depth research related to the relationship of contraception to the occurrence of preeclampsia.
