Abstract

In the study of chair products, researchers designed the seats of pregnant women in accordance with anthropometry in pregnant women. This chair also makes it easier for pregnant women to reduce complaints during pregnancy, especially on the back and swelling of the legs. In the design and development of chairs, pregnant women researchers use ingredients that are soft and easy to clean. Benchmarking is done to find and assess the components of making pre-existing products in accordance with the design concept of the desired maternal chair. Based on the data processing of the body dimensions used in making the pregnant woman's chair is the sitting position height used is the size of the 95th percentile 83.91 cm. Elbow height in the sitting position 50th percentile which is 20.43 cm. Popletial length of 50th percentile 41.71 cm. The popletial height used is 95th percentile 40.81 cm. Shoulder width of the 95th percentile 41.95 cm. The width of the hip used is the size of the 95th percentile 52,20 cm. Based on the results of the calculation of the cost of production, the amount of costs used in making the seats for pregnant women is Rp. 953,000.00. The total total for making pregnant women chairs is Rp. 1,133,000.00, so the selling price of each unit of pregnant women is Rp. 1,500,000.00. And the profit obtained is Rp. 367,000.00.
