Abstract

Primary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain that is not based on pathological conditions. The cause of primary dysmenorrhea is uterine muscle hyperactivity and because of psychogenic factors such as emotional stress. To overcome primary dismneorea, warm compresses and deep breathing techniques can be carried out because both of these methods have a relaxing effect on the body that can form a system of pain suppression. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of warm compresses and techniques as well as differences in influence to reduce pain in dysmenorrhea. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental Design with Two Group Design Pretest-Postest research design. The results of the observations on the effect test in the two groups obtained a value of p <0.05, which is worth 0.0001, which means that there is an influence between the two treatments. Conclusion: Provision of warm compresses and deep breathing techniques effective for reducing pain in primary dysmenorrhoea.
