Abstract

The development of student learning on aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills will be easily known when the teacher really applies and is familiar with authentic assessment. Where the three aspects are inseparable components of learning and must be planned by the teacher from the beginning before the learning activities and when the assessment is carried out until the analysis of the results of the assessment. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of the implementation of authentic assessment of biology teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Gondang Sragen. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the implementation of authentic assessments of biology teachers in SMA 1 Gondang in stage 1) Planning for authentic assessment of biology teachers in general falls into a very good category; 2) The implementation of authentic assessments of biology teachers in general falls into the good category, 3) Reporting on the assessment of authentic biology teachers generally falls into the very good category. Constraints encountered by biology teachers in authentic assessment are at the stage of implementing authentic assessments relating to the teacher's ability to implement and time is not enough to assess students as a whole besides his teaching assignments.
