Abstract

The major problem of this study is how Bella Swan as main characther struggle her love to Edward Cullen in Twilight film. Bella and Edward has a differ a world, Bella Swan is a human and Edward Cullen is a vampire. The objectives of the study is to analayze the movie based on structural elements and to analyze the struggle for love of Bella Swan based on an individual psychological approach. This study is literary study which can be categorized into descriptive qualitative study. The object of this study is Twilight film by Catherine Hardwicke and Mark Morgan. The data sources are primary data sources and secondary data sources those are Twilight film as the primary data and film manuscript and articles from internet as secondary data. The method used for collecting the data is library research. The technique of data analysis is descriptive qualitative. Based on analysis , the writer concludes that struggle for love of Bella Swan in Twilight film is influenced of some aspect. They are fictional finalism, inferiority feeling, striving for superiority, style of life, and social interest. The sixs elements above has closely relationship. Bella Swan has goal to getting loves of Edward Cullen, she has to control her inferority feeling that Edward is a vampire. She is striving for superiority, has a useful social type, high social interest and she has creative power. All of sixs elements above are needed of Bella for getting her goal. Based on An Individual Psychological aspects shown in the film, the writer then concludes that literary work reflects the condition of people who has a dream or goal and they struggle to get it.
