Abstract

Knowing that blood type is important in pregnancy one of them is to know negative or positif rhesus after knowing blood type A, B, AB, O. Women with blood type O tend to be more difficult to get pregnant with age. Blood type O tends to have higher levels of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) than those with other blood types. High level FSH shows a small number of eggs. The purpose of this study is to identify the husband and wife blood group with the distance of pregnancy in the Kartasura Surakarta Health Center Working Area. This research uses descriptive quantitative. It is an observational study using a cross sectional analytical survey approach. A sample of 470 respondents with accidental sampling it’s sampling technique. Respondents were taken for 2 months for patients visiting the Sukoharjo Kartasura Health Center Working Area. Data analysis uses central tendencies in the form of frequency and percentage. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of the husband and wife blood group towards the pregnancy distance in the Kartasura Public Health Center Sukoharjo Working Area were mostly 31 years old, wost of the wife and husband were educated at the senior high school level, most husbands worked as private employees and wife as houswifes, wost of wife got married when they were 21 years old. The husband's blood group is mostly O and wife A and the combination of husband and wife's blood is O - O with 75 respondents. Blood group O - O spacing of pregnancies from the beginning of marriage to positive 1 month pregnancy was 34 respondents
