Abstract

Load factor (loard factor) is a comparison between the magnitude of the average load for a certain time interval against the highest peak load in the same time interval, for example 1 day or one month. While the average load for a certain time interval is the amount of KWH production in that time interval divided by the number of hours from that time interval. The use of electricity distribution in household sector customers occurs more at night, so that electricity consumption in the household sector experiences more volatile electricity consumption compared to other sectors. In household sector customers there are several groups, including R1 (450 VA), R1 (900 VA), R1 (2200 VA), R2 (3500 - 5500), R3 (> 6600 VA). The purpose of this study is to find out how much the average load value and peak load value then the results of these values are used to find the value of the load factor that occurs in the household sector in Sukoharjo region. The method used to achieve the objectives with the literature study, data collection, data processing in the form of calculating the average load value, peak load, load factor and giving the conclusion of the evaluation of these calculations. The results of the calculation and evaluation obtained the load factor value in February 2018 for the highest load factor value listed on the customer with 450 VA consumption of 0.028% while the lowest value indicated on the customer consuming R2 3500-5500 VA at 0.014%. From the results of the data it can be concluded that the value of the load factor is relatively small, so that the consumption of electricity customers is less than optimal. The greater the load factor value obtained from the value of the average ratio and peak load, the better because the power supplied by the PLN so that it can be utilized properly.
