Abstract

Building AL Ma'had University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta is a building that serves as a place where there should be lecturing activities supporting facilities. In order to meet the needs of educational facilities, teaching and learning of this building can not be separated from the electrical energy needs, especially the installation of lighting, air conditioniner and the water pump as a support convenience to the users of the building. we need a reliable design calculations on electrical installations and also based on the lower price. The presence of the electrical installation that will add safety and comfort for users of the building. The design of this installation aims to create diagrams of electrical installation planning of buildings Al Ma'had University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta using AutoCAD program to make sigle line diagram. As for determining the conductor, ultimate safety, amount of electrical power requirements, use manual calculation. This calculation is also used to determine the volume of ground tank and roof tank. The results show that planning of the amount apparent power (S) required is 192412,5 VA with ultimate safety. MCCB (Moulded Case Circuit Breaker) 3 phaseby 125A and use conductor NYY 4 x 35 mm2. Volume reached 60,72 m3, ground tank with autonomous day for 2 days while the roof tank volume to acommodate for 30 minutes reach 8.91 m3.
