Abstract

This study aims to design tailor seats using ergonomic aspects and anthropometric aspects using the Reverse Engineering method. The subjects of this study included tailor operators at UKM Ibu Siti Rodiyah. The development and design of this research was carried out on the tailor seat using the Reverse Engineering method. Reverse Engineering Method is a method that evaluates the components of a product, including the design of components with the stages of demolition, merging, benchmarking, Product Design. The results of the study resulted in anthropometric calculations to determine the design size of the new tailor chair. The anthropometric measurement results were popliteal length with a 50th percentile of 46 cm, hip width with a 95th percentile of 46 cm, popliteal height with a 50th percentile of 49 cm. Thus the tailor chair facilities have adjusted to the dimensions of the human posture.
