Abstract

Everyone has a risk of coronary heart disease. Risk factors for coronary heart disease are divided into 2, which cannot be prevented and can be prevented. Age, gender, family history are factors that cannot be prevented, while preventable factors include: smoking, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, passive physical activity, and obesity. The purpose of this study was to describe the risk factors for coronary heart disease in the Cardiac and Vascular Polyclinic of the Regional General Hospital Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo Regency. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with non-random sampling technique as a sampling technique, and total sampling is used as a sampling method involving 118 respondents. Age categories 45-59 years 44.95%, family history 8.5%, men 53.4%, hypertension 55.1%, smoking 52.5%, passive smoking 41.5%, diabetes mellitus 13, 6%, physical activity is 47.5%, not obese 77.1%. CHD is often found at the age of 45-59 years, most do not have a history of heredity, more common in men. Many preventable risk factors occur with a history of smoking and hypertension. Lifestyle changes in the present have an effect on the incidence of CHD.
