Abstract

THE DEVELOPMENT AS A LEARNING MEDIUM OF BUKU SAKU EKONOMI TO IMPROVE THE STUDENT’ MOTIVATION IN LEARNING ECONOMY SUBJECT FOR XI GRANDERS OF SMA NEGERI 1 NOGOSARI Fitriyasari, A210140073, Program Studi Pendidikan Akuntansi Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. 2018. This research and development is carried out to produce a learning media product in the form of an economic pocket book. This development research has the aim of knowing the level of learning media’s vulnerability and improve student learning motivation in the use of learning media in the form of economic pocket books. This research is a type of research development or Research and Development or (R & D). The development model includes 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This economic pocket book was assessed by 2 material experts, 2 media experts, 12 students as small group trials and 53 students as field trials, and measurements of student motivation were carried out on 53 students of class XI IPS in Nogosari 1 Public High School. Data collection is done by questionnaire and interview. The type of data used in this study are quantitative and qualitative data types. Quantitative data is data obtained from questionnaire questionnaires, while qualitative data is data obtained from the translation of suggestions and comments from media experts and respondents. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research and development is a learning media product in the form of an economic pocket book containing material on price index and inflation. The results of the assessment of material experts obtained an average score of 3.12 which was included in the Eligible category, media experts obtained an average score of 3.18 which was included in the Eligible category, the assessment of students in small group trials obtained an average score of 3.73 entered in the Very Eligible category, the assessment of students in field field trials obtained an average score of 3.35 which falls into the Very Worthy category. The results of the learning motivation questionnaire before using pocket book learning media obtained an average score of 2.68 which included in the Increased category, and student learning motivation after using pocket book learning media obtained an average score of 3.33 included in the Very Increased category. Based on the results of the assessment of the feasibility and improvement of student learning motivation when before and after the use of instructional media using the Economic Pocket Book media, it can be concluded that learning media products can be used and able to increase student learning motivation.
