Abstract

ABSTRACT Kabupaten Batang has several natural attractions that are quite promising when developed, but the number of tourist visits is uneven and needs a directed development strategy. This research is entitled "Analysis of the Potential of Natural Tourism Objects in Kabupaten Batang", with the aim of analyzing the potential level of natural tourism objects, analyzing the driving factors and constraints of development, and developing appropriate development strategies. The method in this study is in the form of observations and in-depth interviews conducted on each natural tourist attraction, namely: Sigandu Beach, Ujungnegoro Beach, Celong Beach, Jodo Beach, and Sangubanyu Bathing then give high, medium, and low potential values. In-depth interviews with informants that are directly related to the object under study. Respondents in this study consisted of the government in this case Disporapar and the field manager of each natural tourism object to find out the driving factors and barriers to the development of tourism objects and appropriate development strategies. The results of this study are that Jodo Beach tourism object has a high potential score, and the others only have a moderate score. The main problems faced by Sigandu Beach are waste and abrasion shipments, while Ujungnegoro Beach has problems with the construction of power plant projects and limited land for development. Celong Beach and Sangubanyu Baths lack facilities and budgets for development. Jodo Beach has high potential value but road access to tourist objects is damaged and there must be a budget for road construction. Promotion is very necessary to attract tourists to visit by utilizing increasingly rapid technological developments. Keywords: Tourism, Potential, Development Strategy.
