Abstract

This research is intended to find out, 1) the criteria for teaching materials needed, 2) the model of teaching material development, and 3) the development of teaching materials / books on environmental damage in the sub-chapter of the dynamics of human interaction with the natural environment. Development of a model developed by 4D. The study design used one group pretest-posttest design with 30 respondents namely students at Boyolali MTs Negeri 6. The data analysis technique used is the T test (t-test). The difference in the results of understanding of climate change material at pretest and post-test increases the average value of 47.0. The pre-test average is 63.75, increasing to the post-test 82.20. The results of the T (t-test) parate and post-test data showed a significant value of 0,000 <0.05 so that He was rejected and H₁ was accepted to be a significant difference between pretest and post-test, so the instructional materials / products developed were effectively used in the learning process. The results of the final product assessment by the research respondents had a value of 71.6 and included in the category "GOOD"
