Abstract

The protection system is one of the important thing in the electrical power system because there is a lot of disturbance in the electrical power system. Basically, disturbance is an abnormal system conditions consisting of short circuit and open circuit. Therefore, a protection system is needed to prevent or reduce the occurrence of disturbances that occur in the electrical power system. One of the protection system equipment installed in a transformer is Overcurrent Relay (OCR) which aims to detect disturbance in the electrical power system. The method used in this research is to find transformer parameter data and relay settings at Jajar 150 kV substations, which are simulated using ETAP 12.6.0 and ISA-TDMS software. These are used to determine coordination between OCR on the primary side of 150 kV, the secondary side of 20 kV, and the feeder side of 20 kV. The results obtained from the simulation occur when the fault is at the primary side of 150 kV with 366 A with a relay working time of 8.88 s, secondary side of 20 kV with 2747 A with relay working time of 6.02 s and feeder side of 20 kV with 2747 A and relay working time of 1,03 s.
