Abstract

This study aims to describe the Marketing Management of Education Services in the activities of new student admissions at Batur Jaya 1 Ceper Klaten Vocational School. In this case it relates to business and strategy to increase the number of interest of prospective new students at Batur Jaya 1 Ceper Klaten Vocational School which includes; 1) Marketing planning for new student education services, 2) Organizing marketing for new student admissions education services, 3) Implementing marketing for new student admissions education services, 4) Evaluating marketing for new student admissions education services. The type of this research is qualitative ethnography which takes place at Batur Jaya 1 Ceper Klaten Vocational School. Data sources are obtained from informants, events and documents. The informants in this study were the Principal, Deputy Principal for Student Affairs, Chairperson of the new Student Admission Committee, students, teachers, and guardians of students. Data collection techniques in this study by interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model with question and answer steps and explanations from the resource person, then data reduction, data presentation and conclusion are carried out. The validity of the data using triangulation of data sources and methods. The results of the study can be stated as follows: 1) Marketing planning of education services in new student admissions in Batur Jaya Vocational School 1 Ceper, has been carried out by the Principal assisted by Deputy Principal for Student Affairs in accordance with Technical Guidelines and new student admission procedures, taking into account capacity classes for each Expertise Program, approaches to the community and Junior High Schools that are nearby. 2) Organizing the marketing of educational services in new student admissions, namely by establishing a new student admissions committee through a Principal's Decree which contains Job Discriptions for each team. 3) The marketing of new student admissions education services, by publishing to Junior High Schools and the public on schedule and publication officers through presentations, tryouts, brochure media, banners and broadcasting on the radio. 4) The marketing evaluation of new student acceptance education services is done by identifying the advantages and disadvantages of the strategies and procedures that have been implemented by the committee in the acceptance of new students.
