Abstract

Taman Balekambang Surakarta is an urban forest park in which dozens of plants, animals and collection objects are included. However, the authors found that from the many collections in Taman Balekambang Surakarta, less than 5% of the collections had information or labels, whereas one of the functions of this park was as a place of learning. From these problems the authors conducted research at Taman Balekambang Surakarta, the purpose of this study was to facilitate visitors to obtain collection data information quickly and easily and introduce Taman Balekambang Surakarta to the wider community through the information system created. In this study the authors used the System Development Cycle (SDLC) method with the Waterfall model, as well as several hardware: Asus X455LD Laptop, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 smartphone and software: Sublime text 3, Xampp Control Panel v3.2.2, Google Chrome, and Corel Draw X7 to help in making the system. The results obtained from this study are QR Code-based information systems to display collection data at the Taman Balekambang Surakarta. From the results of the study the authors conducted tests to ensure the quality of the system made. The author conducts testing using the black box method, the system testing shows that all functions can work well, while the QR Code test shows that the QR Code can be read with a distance of up to 45 cm, bright lighting, but unreadable when, lighting dark, and folded to ten times. At the last stage the author tested the user and admin by means of a questionnaire and obtained 87.77% of users and 93.33% of the admin agreed that the system was suitable and feasible to use. From this study, it can be concluded that the existence of this research is expected to facilitate visitors in obtaining information on park collections easily and quickly and can attract visitors to get.
