Abstract

In 1950, Windan Village was famous as the village that became the center of pottery in Kartasura and its surroundings. Pottery is a tool made of clay which is formed and then burned and can be useful in helping human life (usually in the form of crock). Because of the current development of technology, potteries are no longer in demand by the public because they are less economical and practical. Indonesia is the largest Islamic tourism industry market with the largest Muslim population in the world, which should be recognized by Indonesian tourism businesses. Shari’a Tourism is a form of culture-based tourism and promotes the values and norms of Islamic Shari'a as its basic foundation. The tours carried out also aim to get the pleasure of Allah SWT. The purpose of this final project is to organize Windan Village as a pottery village based on creative tourism, developing sustainable tourism villages based on public participation and halal tourism. Halal tourism is jihad to study and to see signs of the greatness of Allah SWT concerning the universe.
