Abstract

Abstract The scholarship is provided to appreciate achievement that have been reached for students in university. Besides, scholarship can be able to reduce the cost of studying, able to motivate of learning, and able to build competitive spirit. There are requirements in order to get the scholarship. The information system about scholarship in Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, especially on Faculty of Communication and Informatics, still uses manual system. It takes a long time, so a website-based support system decision is created to overcome the problem. It is named Weighted Product Method. This system is implemented in the form of web-based application programs using PHP and MySql DBMS programming languages. The results of this study is information systems and decision support systems incorporated in a website as a tool in decision making for scholarship recipients to be more accurate and the results of the assessment will be more accountable.
