Abstract

Research and Concept Redesign is carried out aimed at: 1). Improve the microclimate of Bung Karno Ungaran Square, Semarang; 2). Replacing vegetation with suitable criteria to reduce micro temperature in a green space; 3). Repair / rearrange the physical form and facilities in Bung Karno Square Ungaran, Semarang. The results of this study are expected to make Bung Karno Square become a healthy and comfortable green space area by improving microclimate in order to create the appropriate green space. The method that was carried out in this research was a comparative descriptive method, by collecting data from the location of the study, the data was obtained from observations at Bung Karno Ungaran Square, Semarang. And redesigned in accordance with the concept that has been made so as to improve the existing problems in Bung Karno Ungaran Square so that it can become a beautiful and aesthetic green space so it can also be useful for micro temperature control for the surrounding environment at the site. Because in a city Green Open Space is very influential in controlling microclimate in a particular city or region.
