Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the comparison of the current distribution system in CV AL-ABRAR with distribution using the saving matrix and nearest neighbor methods. The saving matrix method is a method used to determine the merging of grouping of two or more destination locations into one fleet with consideration of distance and capacity of the fleet used. The nearest neighbor method is the method used determine visits by prioritizing locations that are closest to the last visited location. The elaboration of this research was carried out in 6 stages, the first was recording the request data and then recording the initial route of product delivery each fleet then making a distance matrix followed by making a saving matrix. Furthermore, determine the value of the largest savings to the smallest and combine the value of the savings that have been determined into one route and finally sort each shipping route by adding the next destination based on the distance closest to the previous destination. Based on the analysis of data processing obtained distance savings for 15 experiments of 353,4 km (6,3%) and cost savings of Rp. 116,622.00 (2,9%)
