Abstract

Nowadays, there are many kinds of mass communication are still used as media to get information, such as: Television, radio, film, newspaper, internet and the others. Mainly for radio has space in the hearts of listener inthe milenial era. Radio has compability to persuade listeners, it also reach listener in parts of the world. MTA foundation uses radio as medium to spread “da’wah”. Since at the beginning of its broadcast, MTA FM radio has obtained significant enthusiasm from listeners. By presenting programs that can be enjoyed by all levels of society, MTA FM radio broadcast has got a place in the hearts of its listeners. Starting from hatred, not a few of the listeners are interested in listening to the full of broadcast, then followed by joining recitation held regularly every week in every regions and in the MTA Central Building in Solo. This research focuses on the purpose of knowing communication strategies used by MTA in developing da’wah using MTA FM radio as the medium. From this research , it was found several results which helped the communication strategy of MTA FM radio successfully implemented. For completing the data, researcher did observation, interview and documentation with data processing step by step. It was begun by collecting data, selecting data, analyzing data and making conclusion . From this research also found that several results of communication strategy of “da’wah” applied, it includes understanding the target audiences by presenting programs that could be enjoyed by listeners from various ages, occupations, and educational backgrounds. Da’wah messages are packaged according to themes applied in various programs, PSAs (Public Social Anouncement), and commercial advertisements that make listeners feel comfortable, and it also supported by talented and competent broadcasters in their field and human resources who have been selected their respective and ability. It becomes the main attractiveness for listeners.
