Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to determine the effect of the use of snakes and ladders playing media on numeracy skills of class II students at 16 Muhammadiyah Elementary School Karangasem Surakarta (2) to find out how much the snake ladder media influence the numeracy skills of students in Karangasem Surakarta Surakarta. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental design. This form of design is one group retest-posttest design, this design has a pretest before being treated, thus the results can be known more accurately because it can compare with the state of the results before being treated. The sampling technique used is Sample Random Sampling. Hypothesis testing uses simple linear regression and determinant coefficients, based on the results of the study showing that: the calculation of linear regression test analysis produces a Sig value of 0,000 < 0,05 from the value concluded (1) there is a significant effect of use (variable X) media snake play ladder to (variable Y) numeracy ability of class II students of SD Muhammadiyah 16 Karangasem Surakarta, (2) based on the test results of the determinant coefficient r = 0.463, while the value of = 0.215 or 21% so the effect of snakes and ladders on numeracy skills which is 21%.
