Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between conformity and self-identity in adolescents who join the Verza Rider Community Indonesia Solo group. The formation of self-identity in adolescence is to adjust to the responsibility both physically and psychologically, to establish independence and behavior. One factor in the formation of self-identity is the existence of peer conformity. The hypothesis proposed is that there is a positive relationship between conformity and self-identity in adolescents who join the Solo Indonesian Verza Rider Community Group. The population in this study was 440 members of the Solo Verza Rider Community Indonesia Solo. A sample of 47 members of Solo's Verza Rider Community Indonesia, aged 18-21 years. The sampling technique used in this study is population studies. The data collection method uses a quantitative approach with conformity scale measurement and self-identity scale. Data analysis was performed with the Spearman Rho Nonparametric program using the SPSS for 16 windows program. Based on the results of data analysis obtained the key coefficient (r) of 0.136; significance (p) of 0.182 (p˃0.05) which has no relationship between conformity and self-identity in adolescents who joined the Solo Verza Rider Community Indonesia Group. The variable conformity has an empirical mean (RE) of 147 which has a relatively high category, while the self-identity variable has an empirical mean (RE) of 58.82 which has a relatively moderate category
