Abstract
This study aims to find out the improvement children speaking skills through the method of storytelling group B in TK Pertiwi Kedungupit Sragen. This research is a classroom action research which consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects in this study were group B students in TK Pertiwi Kedungupit Sragen in The Academic year 2017/2018. Data is collected through observation, documentation, and field notes. Based on the result of the action of cycles I and II which have been carried out showing an increase in children speaking skills in group B students in TK Pertiwi Kedungupit Sragen in the academic year 2017/2018. This increase was evidenced by the increase in the percentage of children speaking skills before the action or precycle until the second cycle, when the pre-cycle of children speaking skills reached 40%, the first cycle reached 61%, and the second cycle reached 86%. The conclusion of this study that through the storytelling method can improve children speaking skills in group B in TK Pertiwi in The Academic year 2017/2018.
