Abstract

Purpose of this study is to find out: 1) the effect of Organizing on the Communication Ability of students. 2) the influence of the learning environment on student communication skills. 3) Organizational influence and learning environment on student communication skills. This research includes associative quantitative research. The population in this study were all members of the 2018 Surakarta Muhammadiyah University Accounting Education Student Association (HMP) totaling 110 students. Samples were taken as many as 86 members withtechnique Quota Sampling. Data was collected by questionnaire / questionnaire method. Data analysis prerequisite tests include tests of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity. Data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis, t-test, F, R2,and the relative contribution and effective contribution. Regression analysis results obtained regression equation Y = 17,780 + 0,113X1 + 0,250X2. Based on the analysis and discussion it can be concluded that: 1) organizing has a significant effect on students' communication skills. This is based on the t test, it is known that tcount > ttable is 2.473> 1.988 and a significant value <0.05 is 0.015 with a relative contribution of 50% and an effective contribution of 7.45%. 2) the learning environment has a significant effect on students' communication skills. This is based on the t test, it is known that tcount > ttable is 2.689> 1.988 and a significant value <0.05 is 0.009 with a relative contribution of 45% and an effective contribution of 6.05%. 3) organization and learning environment together have a significant effect on the ability of student communication. This is based on F test, it is known that Farithmetic > Ftable is 7.286> 3.11 and significant value <0.05 is 0.001. 4) The coefficient of determination (R2)of 0.149 indicates that the influence of the learning environment of the organization and organizational skills of students is 14.9% while the rest influenced by other variables.
