Abstract

This study aims to improve the activities and learning motivation of students of class VIII C of Al Islam Kartasura Junior High School 2018/2019 school year in calculating the value of the function by using cooperative learning model techniques Make A Match assisted with the question card media and answers. Research uses classroom action research. Data sources for students and teachers. Data collection techniques are observation sheets, questionnaires, field notes, documentation. Data are analyzed comparatively and interactively. The results showed that learning activities and motivation increased from cycle I to cycle II. In the first cycle, the average value of learning activities was 64.02%, learning motivation was 68.82%. Whereas in the second cycle, the average value of learning activities was 77.42%, student learning motivation was 76.20%. From the results of these studies it can be concluded that learning using cooperative learning models using Make A Match assisted with questions and answer card media can increase students' learning activities and motivation.
