Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms of implementation of social care character education and discipline through activities in SAR organizations (case studies on Bakorlak Emergency SAR UNS). This type of research is qualitative. Data collection in this study with interviews, observations, and documents. Test the validity of the data in this study by means of triangulation techniques and sources. Data analysis techniques by applying interactive models through data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Organizations always prioritize social caring character education, this can be seen in the activities carried out by Bakorlak Emergency members who always treat others with courtesy in humanitarian activities, members who are always ready to give assistance, all members always remind each other, all members are always enthusiastic in social activities, and members who are always involved in providing assistance to the community during a disaster. 2) Cultivation of disciplinary characters in the Bakorlak Emergency SAR UNS organization can be seen from members who have implemented the rules in an orderly manner, reminding members that they still have interests outside the organization, basically carrying out their duties and functions responsibly, members doing things without there is coercion from anyone, the executive carries out duties and functions in accordance with the portion that is the responsibility. 3) The obstacles faced are lack of internal awareness about the importance of caring among the same and still prioritizing personal interests, some members arrive late during training, internal work meetings that are not timely, so that time becomes ineffective. 4) Efforts to overcome obstacles, namely the commander carrying out oversight of the performance of the board is increased, the management who lack discipline in working gets sanctions or reprimand, organizes members to be able to complete tasks and responsibilities properly, reminding all members of their duties and obligations and motivating , approach members.
