Abstract

This study is entitled "2016 Regional Development Bank (BPD) Technical Efficiency Analysis in Indonesia with a Data Employment Analysis (DEA) Approach". The purpose of this study was to determine the technical efficiency of regional development banks (BPD) in Indonesia in 2016 in particular to see whether BPD has been effective in carrying out its duties and functions where the BPD is located. To measure the efficiency of this study using three inputs and one output. Input variables in this study are total assets, labor costs, and capital, while the output variables in this study are third party funds (DPK). The sample used in this study were 26 regional development banks (BPD). The data used is secondary data, namely bank financial report data in 2016 which has been published by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Efficiency measurement uses an output-oriented (output oriented) non-parametric Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach based on a constant return to scale (CRS) model. The results of efficiency using the DEA show that of the 26 BPD banks in Indonesia in 2016 there were only three efficient BPD banks namely BPD West Java and Banten, BPD Riau and kep. Riau and the Southeast Sulawesi BPD, this shows that only 11.5% of BPD banks have been efficient, while 88.5% of BPDs that have not been mentioned above have not reached an efficient level.
