Abstract
The number of cases of diarrhea in toddlers in Clinics the Banyudono has increased each year. In the year 2015 toddler diarrhea of 77 cases (3.31%) years 2016, amounting to 105 cases (4.47%) and in the year 2017 of 116 cases (5%).The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship of maternal knowledge and granting of Exclusive BREAST MILK with diarrhea in toddlers in the working area Clinics Banyudono I Boyolali Regency. This type of research is observational analytical case-control design. Sampling cases using Exhaustive Sampling while the control sample was taken from a neighbor's sample cases, with the total sample as many as 120 samples consisting of 64 cases and 56 controls. Engineering data collection done by doing interviews using questionnaires to respondents associated knowledge Exclusive breast feeding and mother. The analysis of research data using the Chi-square test. The results showed that there is a relationship between the mother's knowledge (p = 0,026; Or = 2,876; 95% CI = 1,213-6,819) and Exclusive breast feeding (p = 0.047; Or = 2,778; 95% CI = 1,103-6,998) with the incidence of Diarrhea in toddlers in Clinics Banyudono 1 Boyolali Regency. The need to provide insight to the community especially in pregnant women or who already have a toddler about Exclusive BREAST MILK program and prevention of diarrhea or diarrheal disease control can be done by using the media health promotion.
