Abstract
DHF is a disease that over the past three years still appears in Indonesian with a high number of sufferers and deaths. The most effective eradication of DHF is by PSN. To run the PSN program, a larva monitor in various scopes was formed, one of which was SD / MI with training on monitoring larvae of school children (Pejas). Military cadres are selected from students who have participated in the training.Providing training to children is expected to increase the knowledge and abilities of children in practicing mosquito larvae monitoring in the prevention of dengue. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of larvae monitoring students on training in monitoring larvae of school children in the Ngale Elementary School / MI, Paron Subdistrict, Ngawi. This type of research is quantitative analytic with cross sectional approach. The study population was elementary school students and MI class V and VI Ngale Village. The population in this study were 88 students, the study sample was 40 students taken by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a correlation between the knowledge and the practice of mosquito larvae monitoring in elementary / MI students in Ngale Village, Paron Subdistrict, namely the better the knowledge, the better the mosquito larvae were observed (p = 0.007).
