Abstract

This research was conducted in the Laweyan District of Surakarta City. This study is entitled "Analysis of Changes in Land Use in Laweyan District, Surakarta City in 2013 and 2017". This study has a purpose: knowing the distribution of land use changes and analyzing the factors that influence changes in land use in Laweyan District, Surakarta City. The research method used in this study is to use secondary data and map analysis using the comparative method, the data used is land use in 2013 and land use in 2017 and use statistical data needed in the analysis of Laweyan District land use change for map analysis using Comparison method overlay results from 2013 and 2017 land use data generated in 3 classes are highest, medium and lowest. The results of this study, Land use changes from 2013 to 2017 whose changes did not all experience changes in land use, only a few areas experienced land use changes in the Laweyan District area. the most dominant land use change in Karangasem and Jajar Villages. Changes in land use from vacant land into settlements and services amounted to 2.17 Ha, the most dominant land use changes in the areas of Jajar and Kerten. Then the dominant factors that influence land use change are population growth in the study area increasing the need for settlements, thus affecting land use change and social economic factors
