Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of madrasah principal leadership at Wonogiri 1 State MTs, describing the madrasah Principal managerial competence of Wonogiri 1 State MTs. This research method uses qualitative research methods, using ethnographic research designs. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are: 1) the characteristics of the principal madrasah transformational leadership 1 MTs as charismatic leaders are able to communicate well, always motivate their subordinates to continue their higher studies, be able to bring their students to success, not selective in paying attention to their subordinates, 2) madrasah managerial competence of Wonogiri 1 State MTs has made Madrasah Work Plans (RKM), always approaching teachers and mothers, educational facilities in Wonogiri 1 MTs Negeri in the form of classrooms, tables, chairs, learning media, teaching aids and tools Sports has been prepared by the principal of the madrasah, every madrasa activity and program from planning, supervision and evaluation always involves the school committee, has opened a special program PPDB Special Program has become the target of parents and students, in using school fees as accountable, transparent and efficient, administration in carrying out its performance always u neat and always ready when the Principal, teacher, student, parents ask for data, in Wonogiri 1 MTs there are several organizations that play a role in advancing MTs among the outside community, internet access at Wonogiri 1 MTs at any time smoothly when teachers are needed and students in learning activities, teachers of Wonogiri 1 State MTs are required to develop more rapidly in educating students and mastering IT.
