Abstract

The knowledge that should be memorized the first time is the Qur'an, because the Qur'an is a source of knowledge for this people and is sent down with blessings, when the Qur'an is controlled, other sciences are also easy to master . Ibn Kholduun also said "know! That learning Al-Qur'an to young children is the spread of religion that has been done by all experts and spread it throughout their cities, because the Qur'an can impose the power of faith in the heart. The expected objective of this research is to find out the extent of the relationship between memorizing Al-Qur'an and Spiritual Intelligence of Children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten (TK) Intan Permata Aisyiyah Makamhaji, Kartasura, Sukoharjo of the Academic Year of 2017-2018. This research was a correlational research (Correlational Research), this research also used quantitative data or numerical data. In this study the authors took samples using saturated sampling techniques. Then the sample of this study is the entire population of 32 children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten (TK) Intan Permata Aisyiyah Makamhaji, Kartasura. In this study researcher used participant observation techniques and structured observations in which observer participated in the activities of the researched subjects and observers in the data collection process using observation guidelines. The collected data were analyzed using product moment and simple regression. Based on the results of the study, it was known from the table correlations that the relationship (correlation) between memorizing the Qur'an with spiritual intelligence was very strong positive, which was 0,718. From the output it could be seen that F count = 32,010 with a significant level or probability 0,00 <0,05, then the regression model can be used to predict spiritual intelligence. In addition, the regression equation was known with the formula Y = a + b X is Y = 10,819 + 0,831X. Thus it can be stated as significant and the proposed hypothesis can be accepted. The magnitude of the effect of memorizing the Qur'an on spiritual intelligence is 51,6%, while the remaining 48,4% is influenced by other variables. �Keywords: memorizing the Qur’an, spiritual intelligence
