Abstract

Based on observations and interviews conducted at SDN 1 Sambirejo, Karanganyar district, information was obtained that the learning methods carried out at the school used conventional methods / lectures. So far the media used in learning activities only use presentation slides. So as to make students less interested in learning material about batik delivered by the teacher. This study aims to: 1) Develop an android-based learning media to increase students' interest in learning Batik. 2) Test the feasibility of BABASA as a learning medium. The development model used is waterfall, the development method which consists of: Analysis & definition, system design, implementation, integration & testing and operation and maintenance. The technique of collecting data through observation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses descriptive methods, namely quantitative data processed to obtain qualitative values ​​based on the Likert scale. The results of the study indicate that the BABASA application is worthy of being used as a learning media for batik material. Feasibility of application based on ISO25010 standard. The chosen aspects include: functional suitability aspects by media experts at 74%, material experts get 87% results, compability aspects reach 100% and performance efficiency aspects get results of 1.1020 seconds. However, the application developed still needs improvement in material so that more material can be learned by students.g activities only use presentation slides.
