Abstract

PT. Pan Brother is the largest garment industry in Boyolali District, more precisely located in the Need Village. The industry has twelve thousand workers, both from the Need Village itself and from various other regions. With so many people doing activities in the industry, it will affect the economic and social conditions of the people around them. This research is related to the influence of the existence of PT. Pan Brother towards the socio-economic conditions of the surrounding community. This study has the aim of examining the influence of the industry of PT. Pan Brother towards the socio-economic conditions of the surrounding communities. The method used is a survey by interviewing people around the industry. The results of this study, stated that the existence of the PT. Pan Brother has a big influence on the socio-economic conditions of the community. Significant influence is found in economic conditions, namely increasing income from farm workers to become traders and business boarding houses. The increase in income reached> 1,500,000 rupiah, which is as much as 55%, an increase in income of Rp. 1,000,000-Rp. 1,500,000, there was 15%, the category of Rp. 500,000-Rp. 1,000,000, there was 25%, and there was only 5% for income increase Rp. 0-Rp. 500,000. Whereas social influences are an increase in crime and deviant behavior such as theft, drinking alcohol and sexual deviations that occur in boarding areas.
