Abstract

The prevalence of DM type 2 in work area of Puskesmas Sambi I Boyolali in 2017 (3,1%) was higher than in 2016 (1,1%). The aims of this study is to analize the correlation between physical activity and knowledge with the incidence DM type 2 in the work area of Puskesmas Sambi I Boyolali. The type of the research is observational analysis with the design of case control. The subject of this research was taken by using Exhaustive Sampling while sample for the control is taken from the neighboring sample for the case, in which the numbers of sample are 136 which consist of 68 samples for the case group and 68 samples for the control group. The data collecting technique used is an interview using questionnaire to the respondents with respect to physical activity and knowledge. The result of the research shows that there are correlation between physical activity (p=0,000; OR=5,590; 95% CI=2,650-11,790) and knowledge (p=0,000; OR=4,218; 95% CI=2,042-8,713) with the incidence DM type 2 in the work area of Puskesmas Sambi I Boyolali.
