Prasiwi Fitria Anugraeni / A210140067. ANALYSIS OF THE LEARNING DIFFICULTY OF THE ECONOMIC STUDY OF THE XI IPS CLASS IN SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 2 SURAKARTA 2018/2019. Essay. Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Muhammadiyah University Surakarta. October. 2018. This study aims to: find out what are the factors of learning difficulties experienced by students of class XI IPS in Muhammadiyah 2 High School Surakarta in the 2018/2019 school year. This type of research is qualitative research with case study design. The research subjects were economics teachers along with students of class XI IPS at Muhammadiyah 2 High School Surakarta, as many as 5 students as respondents where 5 students experienced learning difficulties such as difficulty in absorbing / understanding material, lack of interest in learning, lack of motivation, unwilling to listen delivered by the teacher, feeling bored with how to teach the teacher .. Data collection techniques used include interviews, observation, and documentation. To guarantee the validity of the data, triangulation is used (methods and data sources). Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that there are several factors that affect students' learning difficulties, namely: 1) students internal factors that are cognitive, 2) learning process factors, 3) participant environmental factors. The conclusion of this study is that some students showed a lack of intellectual / intelligence possessed, this was due to a lack of willingness of students to read material and lack of motivation and interest in learning. During the learning process takes place students do not want to listen to what is conveyed by the teacher because students feel bored by teaching teachers. The friendship environment of students affects learning because students prefer to play with their friends and leave their obligations to study.
