Abstract

The study aimed to: 1) describe intrinsic elements of Penari Kecil novel written by Sari Safitri Mohan, 2) explain moral values on novel Penari Kecil written by Sari Safitri Mohan viewed from literary sociology, and 3) reveal the implementation ofthe moral values of novel Penari Kecil written by Sari Safitri Mohan ditinjau viewed from literary sociology as learning material of Bahasa Indonesia in SMK Sakti Gemolong.The study used qualitative approach. Data of the study were discourses containing moral value of Penari Kecil novel written by Sari Safitri Mohan.The data sources were Penari Kecil novel written by Sari safitri Mohan. The tachnique of collecting data were document and note. The results of this study are 1) describing the structure of building a novel Penari Kecil by Sari Safitri Mohan, the structure that builds a novel consisting of themes taken in the novel is "a child who tries to rebel his father's restraints in order to achieve his dream of becoming a dancer, domestic violence and infidelity ". Then there is a figure consisting of Ira as the main character and supported by supporting figures such as papa, mama, diamond and Mak Tuo Yuniar. The flow in the novel is an advanced plot. In the setting of novel stories, there are settings where places were taken in New York and Yogyakarta with modern time settings in the 21st century. 2) Result of the study showed that the moral values of Penari Kecil novel written by Sari Safitri Mohan viewed from literary sociology consisted of honest, authentic value, responsible, independent, humble, brave, realistic, and critic. The values were cited because of the suitable of social aspects. 3) The implementation of moral values of Penari Kecil novel written by Sari Safitri Mohan in SMK Sakti Gemolong could be implemented by simple ways; learners read text, observed the text structure, observed the main content of the text, asked questions about the variants of the text structure, and asked question about the main idea of the text.
