Abstract

Asia Protendo Graha is a private company engaged in the industry of cutting sealing, mold and die, and injection molding. The problem found in the company is the low level of effectiveness of the injection molding machine, where the machine is often damaged because the machine works continuously due to consumer demand which is increasingly increasing. To overcome this, the calculation of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness value is obtained from the calculation of the value of availability rate, performance rate and quality rate. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the value of each faktor in sequence is 87.41%, 64.58%, 98.96%. So that it can be seen that the OEE value is 56%. Then to ensure the performance rate faktor is a faktor that causes the OEE value to be low, then an analysis of the six big losses is carried out, it is proven that the performance rate value that causes the OEE value to be low. After that, an analysis is performed using a causal diagram to provide a proposed improvement which will later be used as a reference to make a simulation of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) application. With the proposed improvements made, it can be simulated the application of TPM, which is able to increase the OEE value by 56% to 77%. It is expected that with the proposed improvements, the TPM design can be applied to the company, so that it can increase the effectiveness of the injection molding machine.
