Abstract

Halal tourism is a tour that based on Islamic law, where activities held and conducted not violate Islamic law. Halal Tourism can be applied in various aspects of life, like food, lifestyle, building and culture. The existence of Darul Hijroh boarding school in Rejosari village is expected to be the generator of creative halal tourism, as the first step is through da'wah and training center that socialize to the citizens about farming system and home industry that does not damage or pollute the environment. In addition, there are also batik businesses around the pesantren which is can be one of the tourist attractions of the village. By raising public awareness of the science of Islamic rules, it is expected to create a beautiful, unique and creative village environment. Therefore, through the planning of "Development of Darul Hijroh Pesantren as Creative Halal Tourism Generator in Rejosari Village, Polokarto" can be a model in the development of Islamic village-based tourist area.
