Abstract

Assessment is student learning outcomes that are used as a benchmark for teacher success whether students have mastered the desired competencies. This study aims to (1) Describe how the teacher implements the 2013 curriculum and 2013 curriculum assessment for fourth grade students in SD N 1 Tempursari (2) Describe what problems experienced by teachers in implementing the 2013 curriculum assessment (3) Describe how teacher solutions used to overcome existing problems. This research is qualitative research. The type of research is qualitative descriptive research and case study (single) research design. Data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data used is technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained are (1) Teachers of SD N 1 Tempursari especially grade IV have used the 2013 curriculum and carried out K13 assessments, but in implementing it is still not maximal and still experiencing probabilities, (2) Teachers are still experiencing problems in implementing K13 assessment that is assessment too complicated, requires a lot of time, the use of report cards and students who are less active in the assessment process, (3) Solutions are carried out to overcome the problem, namely by conducting curriculum assessment training conducted by the principal, sahring with teachers who better understand the 2013 curriculum assessment, looking for sources of information through the internet and teachers make creative innovations in carrying out the 2013 curriculum assessment.
