Abstract

The purpose of this research is to: 1) Describe the improvement of the student activity learning in the mathematics content through the STAD (Student Teams Acievement Divisions) strategy grade IV SD Negeri 1 Krisak Selogiri Wonogiri. 2) Describe the improvement of the teacher quality teaching by using the STAD strategy (Student Teams Acievement Divisions). 3) Describe the improvement of an increase in the learning outcomes of learning mathematics content through the STAD (Student Teams Acievement Divisions) strategy grade IV SD Negeri 1 Krisak Selogiri Wonogiri. This research was a classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of the research were teacher and grade IV students of SD N 1 Krisak Selogiri Wonogiri. The data was collected by using: observation, interview, documentation and tests. Data validity: Triangulation of data souces and methods. The results showed as follows: 1) The average percentage of student learning activities in the initial conditions (pre-cycle) is 46% with a low predicate. Followed by the implementation of the STAD strategy (Student Teams Acievement Divisions) increased to 51% and 64% in the first cycle of meetings 1 and 2. Then on the second cycle of meetings 1 and 2 increased to 71% and 87%. 2) The average of the teacher percentage success rates by using the STAD strategy (Student Teams Acievement Divisions) has increased from 66% and 68% in the first cycle of meetings 1 and 2 increased to 72% and 83% in the second cycle of meetings 1 and 2. 3) The average value of learning outcomes students in learning mathematics content is 67 in the pre cycle. With the implementation of STAD strategy (Student Teams Acievement Divisions) increased to 70.2 in cycle I. Then increased to 75.3 in cycle II. Based on these results it can be concluded that the implementation of the STAD (Student Teams Acievement Divisions) strategy has been able to increase the students activity learning in the mathematics content of grade IV SD Negeri 1 Krisak Selogiri Wonogiri.
